O que (quem) é Scan-EDF - definição

Dual Scan; Dual-scan; Dual-scan LCD; Dual scan

Scan-EDF
<storage, algorithm> A variation of the Scan disk aceess algorithm for use in a real-time environment where, in general, requests are served according to {Earliest Deadline First}. If two requests share the same deadline, they may be reorganised according to Scan. A typical example is a video server that retrieves video data from a hard disk. The playback of a video impose tight real-time constraints but if the server retrieves data once every second for each video channel, Scan-EDF can be applied, reducing the seek overhead. (1995-11-15)
Graham scan
  • A demo of Graham's scan to find a 2D convex hull.

Graham Scan; Graham's scan; Graham's algorithm
Graham's scan is a method of finding the convex hull of a finite set of points in the plane with time complexity O(n log n). It is named after Ronald Graham, who published the original algorithm in 1972.

DSTN

DSTN (double super twisted nematic), also known as dual-scan super twisted nematic or simply dual-scan, is an LCD technology in which a screen is divided in half, which are simultaneously refreshed giving faster refresh rate than traditional passive matrix screens. It is an improved form of supertwist nematic display that offers low power consumption but inferior sharpness and brightness compared to TFT screens.
